Description
Epic Sciences is currently seeking a talented and highly organized CLINICAL RESEARCH COORDINATOR to join our company for a 6 month contract in San Diego, California. The main role of the CLINICAL RESEARCH COORDINATOR is to initiate, coordinate, and monitor all on-going and new clinical studies, including both academic and pharmaceutical trials. You will work under direct guidance of the Director of Pharma Services and will coordinate with partners to ensure that all aspects of the clinical study are carried out in an accurate and timely manner.
Responsibilities & Duties

Manage correspondence between clinical sites and partners

Determine logistics for new clinical sites and projects

Assemble, ship, and track clinical sample collection kits

Coordinate, track, and receive incoming clinical samples from study sites

Coordinate processing of blood specimens to clinical operations staff

Maintain and coordinate calendars and daily/weekly schedules
-
Track results and work with Clinical Operations Team to meet study timelines and deliverables

Perform administrative duties such as ordering office and laboratory supplies, shipping supplies to partners, preparing study binders, and maintaining files
Requirements

BA/BS in health related field

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Effective interpersonal skills

Demonstrated time management and multi-tasking skills

Must be self-motivated, and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Ability to read and follow protocols and procedures

Proficient in computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint

Experience in a clinical laboratory is preferred

Flexibility to work early morning schedule starting at 7am most days
