Job Description 

Epic Sciences is changing the paradigm in cancer management by enabling earlier diagnosis, better staging, and improved therapeutic selection through the enumeration and molecular characterization of circulating tumor cells (CTCs). 

Epic Sciences is seeking a full-time Research Assistant.  This person will be involved in routine clinical sample processing to detect and characterize CTCs and will work under general supervision, independently, and in collaboration with others in a team oriented environment.   

Requirements 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Follow strict SOPs for routine blood sample CTC analysis
• Prepare buffers and reagents
• Partake in general clinical laboratory duties
• Adhere to quality systems
• Maintain safe and clean laboratory environment

Qualifications

• BA/BS in relevant scientific discipline
• Ability to adhere to strict protocols required
• Superb organizational and time management skills required
• Ability to work in a team oriented environment required
• Previous experience with the maintenance of tumor cell lines desired
• Previous experience in immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence assays and techniques desired
• Familiarity with fluorescent microscopy desired
